Mrs. Archie-Haliburton's 7th Grade Math Classes
All classes, except for 2nd period, will take their math exams Monday.
If your child is going on the Beta Club trip, they will take their exam Monday morning before they leave.
2nd period will take their exam during the half day Friday.
We have been covering and re-covering every math standard for over a month. Your child has seen 3 practice tests and he, or she knows exactly what to expect on the math portion of TCAP. We have reviewed answers, discussed mistakes, and practiced strategies for improving multiple choice test scores.
However, nothing can replace the support that you can provide to your child as a parent. Please sit down with them and make a personal time commitment to their education. I have posted videos and practice problems on this website throughout the year. Please review these posts and make an effort with your child over the next several days.
I highly recommend that you try a membership to www.ixl.com, if you can spare the $10 fee. You can cancel as soon as TCAP is over, or you may find that you would like to keep it for summer practice. I think it is worth the investment. You will find every topic we have covered this year and more. If you have more than one child, you would get even more for your money. It is actually a very good program.
